The Warrior J-Troll Plug is a handmade wooden trolling lure designed for anglers who want something different from mass-produced plastic.

Built in small batches by Black Warrior Lures, this plug is made for slow, steady trolling behind catfish rods, handlines, and small boats. The J-Troll body gives the lure an old-school trolling profile while keeping the design focused on practical fishing instead of shelf-fluff.

These plugs are offered in two baitfish-sized options:

• 3.5 inch for smaller bait profiles (+/- 0.50 inch)
• 4.5 inch for larger bait profiles (+/- 0.50 inch)

Those sizes are based on the kind of baitfish commonly targeted by cast netting and line fishing, including shad and bluegill. The goal is not to make a lure that looks like a museum-grade fish painting. The goal is to create a wooden trolling plug that suggests bait through shape, movement, contrast, and color.

The Warrior J-Troll Plug comes in three impressionistic color profiles:
